Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Lamar County Court Docket does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained for the purpose of responding. It remains within the site team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically receive these technical details:
- Page-view dates, times, and duration
- Referring website, when available
- Browser name and version
- Device and operating-system type
- Pages requested during the visit
- The device IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help measure aggregate traffic, popular pages, and points where visits end. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving site performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search partner
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Understanding which pages visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Lamar County Court Docket does not host, sell, maintain, or compile a database of personal case records or court dockets. It explains how records are divided among the District Clerk, County Clerk, local courts, and re:SearchTX. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies operate the search boxes shown on content pages. Information submitted there is governed by that partner’s privacy policy. Each partner controls its retention and disclosure practices, so review its terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Lamar County clerks, District Court resources, re:SearchTX, legal-aid organizations, or commercial search providers. An external site applies its own privacy rules after a visitor leaves this domain. Read those rules before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted advertisements. That tracking is controlled by those companies.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. It may be disclosed to:
- A search partner selected to process a query
- Analytics vendors measuring use and performance
- Advertising networks placing ads
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when a valid legal order compels disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and the site cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be made through the contact method provided by the site.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Texas privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights based on residence and circumstances. The Texas Public Information Act concerns access to government information and does not govern data held by this private site. Access to covered judicial records is addressed separately by Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to personal data held about you
- Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Opt out of covered forms of processing
